This is a one-year programme with two semesters. The programme produces competent graduates able apply engineering, agronomic, irrigation principles and concepts in harvesting, irrigation and drainage, maintenance of farm machines and equipment in sugarcane farming. The programme equips graduates with skills and knowledge in a range of activities some of which are non-routine.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Technician applicants with previous training and awarded a Basic Technician Certificate in Sugarcane Production Technology (NTA Level 4) or form six leavers with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass in science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
