This is a one-year programme with two semesters. The programme produces competent graduates able to apply scientific principles and techniques in cane sugar processing, maintain equipment, instruments and apparatus and maintain quality of sugar products and its intermediates in the sugar production factory. The programme equips graduates with skills and knowledge in a range of activities, some of which are non-routine and be able to assume operational responsibilities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Technician applicants with previous training and awarded a Basic Technician Certificate in Sugar Technology (NTA Level 4) or form six leavers with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass in science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
