This is a one-year programme with two semesters. The programme produces competent graduates able carry out a moderately wide range of crop husbandry practices, assist in developing value chain of crops, processing and preservation of crop produce. The graduates can perform demonstrations for dissemination of crop technologies, demonstrate practice of environmental management, collection of research and production data and apply entrepreneurial and cooperative skills effectively. The programme equips graduates with skills and knowledge in a range of activities, some of which are non-routine and be able to assume operational responsibilities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry qualifications of the candidates is holder of Advance Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass in science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics. Or applicants who have undergone prior training in agriculture in recognised vocational training centres and Possession of Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5) in Agriculture Production or General Agriculture.
