This is a one-year programme with two semesters. The programme produces competent graduates able to carry out routine crop husbandry and keep farm record under supervision. Graduate fits in the smallholder farmers and entrepreneurship. The programme equips graduates with skills and knowledge at routine level.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry qualifications of the candidates is Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with passes in at least TWO science subjects such as Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering science and Nutrition, and at least TWO passes in other subjects except religious subject; a pass in Biology is compulsory.

Applicants who have undergone prior training in agriculture in recognised vocational training centres and attained National Vocational Awards (NVA) level 3, should have majoring in Agriculture and a minimum of two (2) Passes in their form IV to be eligible for admission into the programme.
