The National Sugar Institute (NSI) is an autonomous public training institution established through the Sugar Industry Act. No. 26 of 2001, whereas main functions are to develop and carrying out training, conducting research and carry out technical consultancy in order to improve productivity of the sugar industry.
The launching of our website marks an important milestone in our vision of becoming a centre of excellence for quality technical education in sugar and allied industries in Africa and also as a highly innovative institution in delivering quality training, research and outreach programs that meet the needs and expectations of all of our stakeholders and customers.

Science, Technology and Innovation Conference and Exhibitions (STICE) is a national and multisectoral event organized every year by Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH). The objective of STICE among others, includes to provide a platform for national leaders such as President, Vice President or Prime Minister to meet with scientists, researchers, policy makers, innovators, funders, development partners and industry players.
